responsible for oversight of the day-to-day operations of the Association and may therefore act for the full Board between its meetings, including using the special powers articulated in §5.90 of the NYSCA Bylaws if or when necessary. 

oversees elections in accordance with policies and procedures approved by the Board of Directors.

announces vacancies, obtains qualified candidates for the offices on the Board of Directors, and develops election ballots; periodically reviews and recommends changes to the NYSCA Bylaws.

ensures that effective systems are in place to protect assets, manage risk, and prevent fraud.

ensures that the organization maintains accurate and complete financial records; works with organizational leadership to develop, recommend, and monitor the organization’s annual budget and spending plan; develops, recommends, and regularly updates financial policies and procedures, including those related to expenditures, investments, and cash management; safeguards the organization’s assets; complies with federal, state and other reporting requirements; and generally help the Board understand the organization’s finances.

primary advisory body to the NYSCA Board of Directors on matters related to clinical standards, protocols, and trends affecting chiropractic care in New York State. Includes:

• Electrodiagnosis - serves as a resource on matters involving scope, ethics, best practices, and payer interactions involving electrodiagnostic services.
• Hospital & Interdisciplinary Liaison - provides expertise, outreach, and strategic recommendations to foster collaboration, support credentialing pathways, and position chiropractic as an essential partner in evidence-informed, team-based care.
• Athletics & Sports Injury - advises the Association on issues related to the treatment of athletes, injury prevention, and performance optimization, and supports the professional development of chiropractors working in athletic and sports injury contexts across New York State.
• Chronic Spine Pain - serves as a subject matter resource to the Clinical Practice Committee and the broader Association in shaping clinical guidance, educational resources, and policy recommendations related to chronic spine pain

established to monitor, evaluate, and advise on state and federal regulatory requirements, payer compliance mandates, and related practice obligations that impact chiropractors in New York State.

develops and enforces guidelines for ethical behavior, investigates member complaints, and ensures that NYSCA members uphold the integrity of the profession.

serves as a liaison between the Association, insurance carriers, state agencies, and third-party payers to ensure that chiropractic physicians are represented and their patients have access to appropriate, equitable, and comprehensive health benefits. Includes:

• Workers’ Compensation - supports members in understanding and navigating Workers’ Compensation requirements, monitors regulatory and payer-related developments, and assists the Association in responding to policy proposals and systemic issues.
• No-Fault - provides expert input, supports member education, and advises the Association on regulatory compliance, payer practices, and policy advocacy related to No-Fault and personal injury reimbursement.
• Medicare - provides expert analysis, guidance, and advocacy support related to Medicare policies that affect chiropractic practice in New York State

provides a structured forum for the open exploration of diverse perspectives related to the science, philosophy, and art of chiropractic—particularly as these relate to the evolving scope of practice in New York State.

serves as the liaison body between the Association and national chiropractic organizations, such as the American Chiropractic Association (ACA), ChiroCongress, and other relevant entities.
