NYSCA Elections & Leadership

NYSCA is governed by members who volunteer their time and experience to represent chiropractors across New York State. Elections give members a voice in choosing Association leadership and provide opportunities for members to take an active role in shaping NYSCA's future.

Whether you are here to cast your vote or considering serving in a leadership role, you can find information about the election process, important dates, and candidate requirements below.

“NYSCA provides meaningful opportunities to engage in leadership and contribute to decisions that shape the profession."

How NYSCA Elections Work

Uncontested Elections

When the number of qualified candidates does not exceed the number of available positions, the qualified candidates are declared elected in accordance with NYSCA's Elections Policy and bylaws.

Contested Elections

When there are more qualified candidates than available positions, eligible members vote through NYSCA's secure electronic voting system. Candidates are elected by plurality vote in accordance with NYSCA's Elections Policy.

Special Elections

When a special election is necessary, voting may take place during an in-person or virtual meeting using a confidential voting method that protects voter privacy and allows for accurate tabulation.
