As part of New York State’s ongoing commitment to protecting vulnerable children, recent legislation has expanded training requirements for mandated reporters. This is a new requirement that applies even to those who previously completed the mandated reporter training required by April 1, 2025.
The NYSCA Education and Events Committee has been coordinating with the Northeast College of Health Sciences Frank J. Nicchi School of Continuing Education in the development of a course that fulfills the new training requirements.
This half-hour course is available from Post-grad on May 6, 2026 from 12:30-1:00pm and on June 8, 2026 from 1:00-1:30pm. This course will offer 0.5 category 1 credit hours and will be presented by Heather Frederick MS LMHC. Additional dates are expected to be scheduled.
